It was one possibility within an non-exhaustive enumeration of others.

To put the torture behind us is, inevitably, to put it in front of us.

That completely contradicts the statements of several archeologists - one up the thread, the ones who made and wrote about the actual discovery...  Not to mention slams women.

And we sail and we sail and we never see land, just the rum in the bottle and a pipe in my hand...

        i wrote a response.

then i realized that it was a waste of time writing it.

suffice to say, your position is short on insight and long on aggrieved sillyness.

The best you can do is a personal attack?  Stay classy.

          •  no, that's not the best i can do. (0+ / 0-)

my remarks were not a personal attack, they were a summary assessment of your position.

you're determined to grind axes of aggrievement, to no particular good end. the best i could do would be to reduce your position to ruins, and i did put some preliminary work into doing so; but despair got the better of me, as nothing i might say would either change your mind, or give me any particular satisfaction in the saying.

              •  you continue to misapprehend the situation (0+ / 0-)

as one of You against Me, or perhaps Me against You.

you asked me if that was the best i could do.

                i answered.

sorry if you didn't like my answer.
