  •  Oh, so sad! (6+ / 0-)

I grew up with MMC - but Karen & Cubby were closer to my age, so I related to them better.  Annette WAS like a big sister.

Such a nice young woman.  I remember an interview they did when Disney first "allowed" her to do the BB movies and how they had to make sure her bathing suit was either a 1 piece or not a bikini style 2 piece - no belly button showing, not too much cleavage.  She was still a Disney girl and that carried a lot of weight and responsibility during the "free love" & Woodstock generation.

I knew she had MS and the last time I saw her on one of those "where are they now" things, I remember she looked very ill and uncomfortable and I couldn't imagine why they made the poor little thing appear on TV.  She couldn't speak.  It was so, so sad.

Whether there is a Heaven or not, I know she's in a better place, because she's free of the broken body that her heart & soul were living in.

Rest in Peace, Annette - I'm sure Uncle Walt was waiting for you on the other side of forever, to welcome his best loved Mouseketeer.
