needs cover from europe to enact a stimulus plan?  sounds unlikely.  certainly the land of "freedom fries" is not a place that tea partiers especially respect opinions from.

obama doesn't need cover from europe.  he needs to start telling the truth.

The point is that Obama has no one to work with on the continent except Hollande, and as you mentioned, French policy has little impact over here. However, if the GERMANS or the BRITS were to sing a song of growth, that would give him people to work with.

Like I said above, I think Obama is lost in the clouds of his own thinking. I don't think it's a question of the "truth", I think he's telling the truth as he sees it. It just isn't a reality that the rest of us believe is real.

What he REALLY needs are people who can show him why and how his thinking will cause more harm than good. He THINKS a "grand bargain" will allow us to move on to other things. He doesn't understand that even if he were to obtain this dream, the GOP would just devise more ways to entrap, ensnare, and confound him.

Obama just isn't the perceptive person we've been lead to believe he is, he wants to be liked by the GOP members of congress, and that is continually his undoing.

When he gave his SOTU address we had hope that we were seeing the "real" Obama, but we weren't. He more concerned with the concept of "dysfunction" than the harm he might cause by trying to avoid it.

What separates us, divides us, and diminishes the human spirit.
