too cold to too hot in a day. It's hard to imagine it now, but soon enough we will be whining about the heat.

Temperature supposed to go above freezing tomorrow, yay!

    •  Seems like it's happening all over. (3+ / 0-)

Just during the weekend we had rain and hurricane-force winds; today we're in the low 70s. I just took a nice walk around the neighborhood and the street was full of food smells. That only happens on warm days, and it always reminds me of summertime in NYC. :-)

your neighbourhood. I can just see it. Now if I could just smell the smells.
Around here, the only food smells right now come from KFC. But soon, the barbeques will be out again. Yumm.

...from our neighborhood's main commerce intersection, and when I walk there I pass by several restaurants: Indian, Thai, Chinese, plus two pizza places, two bakeries, and an old-fashioned diner. No fast-food joints, though we used to have a Burger King. A Japanese restaurant is getting ready to open there now, after some serious remodeling.

Anyway, the competing food smells from all those places on warm days are pretty interesting, if not always exactly appetizing. :-)
