    I take it you think Grahams statement is a good thing. You think that "flattening"(making equivalent for all incomes)) tax rates to pay down the debt is a good thing? If so, surely you jest.

      I'm thinking the President might compromise so that seniors get lower benefits, the middle class pays more in taxes and the upper brackets pay less.

          I'm saying, to go along with the stupidity of chained CPI, I can see the President willing to stupidly raise taxes on the wrong people while claiming that he's won a victory with increased revenue.

          Does that help?

          That's why I thought it was fascinating in the first place. The President is so willing, apparently, to work some deal that he just might go for this horrible idea of Graham's. It hadn't occurred to me that this could get worse...but now I think it can.
