  •  The U.S. will never strike North Korea first! (8+ / 0-)

Killing innocent people in anticipation that their regime may do something horrific to you is never good policy.  North Korea has been reeling ever since the failed civil war in the 1950's. The last thing we as the US should do, is make it worse by provoking them with a preemptive strike. The U.S. simply needs to continue to support south Korea, maintain cordial relations with China, and work to peacefully end the North Korean regime.

Seattle is not in danger from North Korea!

North Koreans are good and decent people with a wonderful culture and history and I do not wish ill upon any of them... Someday the two halves of the great nation of Korea will unite, but this is only possible through peaceful means.

I hope this is true.  Even is Seattle is not in danger, I fear miscalculations by either side could plunge us to war.  I hope tomorrow nothing happens.

What part of their culture hasn't been touched by Dear Leader or embraces the outside world and wants to promote peace and cooperation? Honest question because once (hopefully) there is regime change, I'm wondering how the average North Korean will take it.

and all the other characteristics of their society: quietly.  The military could probably effect a regime change with very little muss and fuss.  Aren't there any other heirs apparent in the Il family tree?

        •  Not sure (0+ / 0-)

if a military junta over there would be a whole lot better than the status quo.

If the pilot's good, see, I mean if he's reeeally sharp, he can barrel that baby in so low... oh you oughta see it sometime. It's a sight. A big plane like a '52... varrrooom! Its jet exhaust... frying chickens in the barnyard!
