I love nasty French cheeses, so my best wishes for a swift liberation for the Mimolette. All cheese is basically this: partly rotten bodily fluids of a mammal plus micro-organisms and occasionally mites=YUMMY. There's nothing a warning label couldn't fix but "adulterated"? I hardly think so. Don't forget, this cheese is made in the European Union, a place that mandates placing an inspection stamp on every single hen's egg sold. FDA, I think the French have got this one.

Chilly and windy here on The Rock, bright and clear. The little (well, size is relative in this case) cove out in front of the cottage is filling up with lobster traps as the season is just starting and that cove is full of lobster. It's one of the first places that gets trapped every season. Good luck to the lobstermen, because while the haul was massive last year the prices were dreadfully low.

    •  I love mites! Some of them, anyway. (0+ / 0-)

Living in Fla, met Old Man DeWolfe, at his organic orange orchard. He patiently 'splained to us that the dark oranges were the sweetest. Mites eat the outer skin, turning the orange dark, and it then absorbs more sunshine. Higher in vitamin D too.
I always go for the brownest oranges I can find.
Wonderful old duffer. Had a 1948 slatback pickup truck with a sign hung on it
