    I once argued with a Republican-leaning voter that the big problem with electing Obama was that he was an inexperienced political amateur when it came to actual governance. As much as I've wanted to believe otherwise, I've come to see that this indeed what has happened. Obama is not very competent at actual governing, despite his best intentions. And he's surrounded himself with advisors who are, frankly, terrible, and the White House staff (as evidenced by this article) is equally amateur and politically incompetent.

    Be able to win elections does not insure competence in governing, alas. Of course, I don't think Romney's Presidency would have gone any better. Much worse, in fact.

      been making this very case for many, many years. Obama simply isn't good at government. Mainly because he was never a political executive, which is experience that is vital in being a politician.

      Great of the very best. But at government, a 6-10 football team.
