Some people are trying to have an adult discussion.

If you don't have a substantive response, I suggest leaving and letting others have a conversation.

I repeatedly claimed that Obama would never propose cuts to social security. I was wrong. Then again, I also claimed, repeatedly, that Rick Perry would win the 2012 Election, and that The Supreme Court would overturn Health Care Reform.

This whole "adults" and "kids" thing you are doing is nothing other than name calling.  It does not advance your position.

The odd thing is that these posts do not even discredit the opinions you are against.  They just make people angry.

You are either purposefully trying to start a flame war, or you just don't realize that that's all these kinds of comments will do.

which I did, and then the person who responds gets called out for incivility.

It's just like in hockey:  initiate, don't retaliate; the person who retaliates is the one who gets the penalty. So if someone skates by and hits you in the face with the butt end of his stick, don't respond, or you will get called. Pretty basic stuff, but after years of it, occasionally I lose my temper and fall for it.

if necessary for years; if necessary, alone

It's just a game to them, nothing more. They don't care about your welfare.

    •  right mocking and giggling (17+ / 0-)

about anyone who dares to call this piece of shit austerity budget what it is, is adult. lol. You people are seriously deluded, and  lacking in any democratic human values. Guess Elisabeth Warren's just a 'hater' and not adult enough to just to see how great Obama is.  Wow just wow. So long to democratic values and any decent governance and welcome to the New Democrat's Government Sachs 'the world as we find it'.

Cheer lead away, and let those moochers on the governments tit, be chained to living in the new normal austerity.  We should all eat our peas and if they cost too much buy cat food. We all need to sacrifice because as Obama said we don't disparage wealth creating in America. This is not what the Democratic party looks like. This is The Third Way party posing as democrat's.

Here's Bill Black on what going down here. Get your heads out of the sand and take a look at what you are mocking people for being outraged about.

So we know that austerity is the stupidest conceivable policy, most self-destructive. We are not shooting ourself in the foot; we're shooting ourselves at least in the leg, and maybe in the stomach in all of this. And Obama didn't have to do it. Absolutely didn't have to do it. And the leaks are calculated and show that it's exactly what we warned in terms of motive. So the leaks are about how the president is taking a political risk of alienating his base and upsetting progressives. Well, he deliberately wants to upset progressives. Obama runs against the Democratic wing of the Democratic Party. His hostility for it is palpable. And he has long expressed this desire to begin to unravel the safety net. And why? Because of his legacy. And they are open about this in terms of their press flaks, that they believe that President Obama's place in history will come because he had, as they claim it, the political courage to go against the interests of his own party, the interests of the American people, and to begin to create Wall Street's greatest dream, the unraveling of the safety net of Social Security and its eventual replacement by private investment accounts that are going to lead to Wall Street.
