  •  We're finding out who the REAL Democrats are (12+ / 0-)

I watched what happened in 2010 (and still live with the ensuing horror) when independents, young people, and occassional voters stayed home to "send a message" to Democrats in Washington.  They worked, voted in record numbers, and got a seriously bad taste in their mouth from the disappointing results of electing a Democratic President and huge Democratic majorities in Congress.

It was the worst phone banking and canvassing I've ever done - trying so hard to convince people to get out and vote again for a party that just kept on breaking their promises and doing nothing with large majorities.  I felt the same, but kept telling them that the election was incredibly important.  They felt the Dems just frittered their majorities away in the search for the illusion of bipartisanship.

With Obama on this course, I see 2014 looking a lot like 2010 and already wonder if I'm even going to try to convince voters.

There already is class warfare in America. Unfortunately, the rich are winning.
