All the GOP has wanted all along is to beat him and the Democrats.  Obama just did it for them.

When I think how hard so many people fought to help him beat Hillary and the GOP, I get pissed off.   Add in how he "used" kids to get elected and granny to reward his banker pals, and there is no low too low for this man.  He really does make Clinton look good.

What we need is a Democrat in the White House.

People talk of the things he passed in his first term but I wonder how much of that was Rahm's doing.

And, you know, people can hate Rahm all they want but most would admit that he does know how to play politics.

only thing I truly admire President Obama for.  Everything else was half-heart or ineffectual. And by the way, saving Detroit, just as one single action, was enough to guarantee my vote in 2012.  The destruction of US manufacturing is not something I take lightly.

Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room!

How on earth does Rahm Emmanuel of all people have anything to do with this?  From what I recall, Obama of all people was the one pushing things and quite a bit of Democrats weren't taking action quickly enough.  Emmanuel, I remember Obama chose as Chief of Staff almost immediately after he won November 2008, because of his ability to communicate with Congress and in the D.C. community.

In 2009-2010, Obama had dealt with a Democratic-Controlled Congress.  Now he's dealing with a Democratic-controlled Senate but not a Democratic controlled House of Representatives.  Basically, a lame duck Congress if you will.

I seriously doubt Rahm was THAT influential over Obama.  I think a lot of Obama's decisions in 2009-2010 were of his own doing.  After all, why is it that Obama is all of a sudden doing quite a bit of touring states like he did years ago in 2009-2010?

I don't really think you're in a position of saying it was Rahm who is to blame for all of the accomplishments Democrats did in 2009-2010.  I don't think any of us really knows for sure.  On the other hand, Emmanuel was very effective in influencing Democrats to vote for the health care reform bill.  Even then Congressman Eric Massa, a once regular diarist on Daily Kos himself, pointed this out.
