    So I will write here what I wrote elsewhere.

    You should try to engage in other people's diaries more.  Most of what you have written would do well in the comments of the many diaries about chained CPI.  Participating in comments and other diaries would also give you good space to learn the ropes.

    In reality, for most of us here, the joy is in the comments, not the diaries.

    Comments are participatory and conversational.  The are often far more informative than the diaries the comments are found in.

      A few comment groups are wonderful and informative. Many are largely Facebook class social fluff. And comments in web newspapers is one reason they have largely failed, FYI. (Yes, I toiled for years in the press trenches and saw the industry die, for all practical purposes, around 1980.) I avoid Facebook, and avoid too many comments. But here may set up one so called Diary and update it now and then. Between attempts to make a little money on the side with Website hosting etc.
