  •  Good for Ms. McCain. (10+ / 0-)

She's got about as much class as I've seen in the young Republican bunch. I have more respect for her than I do for her father.

To make others less happy is a crime. To make ourselves unhappy is where all crime starts. We must try to contribute joy to the world. That is true no matter what our problems, our health, our circumstances. We must try. Roger Ebert

I don't condemn her for loving her dad.  She may see a side to him or a part of him that is different from what we experience. And he may in fact love her, and he may well have been a good dad.

I want McCain to say something because of all the times when he shamefully has not.  A man who used to speak out against torture silenced himself when support for torture became kind of a Republican litmus test.  A man who used to support comprehensive immigration reform backed down in 2010 when the T-baggers were ascendant. Bush paid creeps to call his other adopted daughter black, and he hugged Bush on that platform at the convention.

Coulter needs to be ignored because publicity is her oxygen.  But for John McCain's soul's sake, or whatever remains of it, it would be far better for him to say something.
