    ... donated all of that money for him to do.

    he is not weak, a bad negotiator or any of that stuff.  he just has a plan that was designed in coordination with people who have a different agenda than the average democrat.  he's a neoliberal.

      a neoliberal. You have to genuinely believe in neoliberalism to be one. Rather, I think he's convinced himself that he believes in it, because it's the politically easy and safe thing to do, but doesn't really believe in it. I'm not sure he really believes in anything, but image. Also, since neoliberalism doesn't really work as a sound and fair economic system, I'm not sure that anyone smart enough to understand it really believes in it anymore. The ones who do are fools.

      Sincere or not, though, he certainly has a neoliberal agenda, tweaked to seem and even be progressive. But it's still regressive laisezz-faire at the core.
