  •  Let's see.... (0+ / 0-) political journeys are worthy of a movie script, or two, or three. And, with the very few friends with whom I've discussed some of the potential "chapters"--so to speak--of this story, it usually leaves them with their lower jaws hanging, after the first 15 minutes, or so. ("The names would, most definitely, have to be changed to protect the innocent," however.)

    It all started when I was a crossing guard "patrol boy," back in grade school, in 1968. (I was ten years old.) I made sure every kid at my corner (which abutted the highway that ran past my elementary school in Trenton, NJ) was up on the overpass of that highway, screaming their lungs out, telling George Wallace to "go fuck himself," as his motorcade rode under it on his way to give a speech in the center of town...

    ...and, Mally, I do NOT fuck around with embellishments when I tell these stories. There are hundreds of them...with most of them being much more "up-close-and-personal" (and more interesting) than the paragraph, above.
