    Remember, Bowles-Simpson recommends a '20-year Bump' to be implemented at Age 85.

    And this is simply a 'proposal' or recommendation, to be bargained over.  It is not even a proposed piece of legislation.

    And we all know that the Dems never 'win' at negotiations.

    Chances are that the Administration decided it would be smart to 'lower the age' (as a starting point) in order to deflect some of the anger from the left over the entire fiasco.

    I sure as heck wouldn't 'bet the farm' that the final result will be a 'bump-up' at age 76.  But I could be wrong.  [In this instance, I sincerely hope that I am.  Age 85 is absolutely unconscionable.  And Age 76 is not much better.]
