    Wild face color, especially the juvenile, purple and blue. That's the Northern Car. According to birdweb, which is the authority on sightings in Washington state, 2 wild caracaras have been confirmed seen here in the last 15 years, both on the open ocean coast, so nowhere near here, in the Salish Sea. That would be consistent with the Humboldt coast sightings of your bro, on the ocean. Birdweb says they have long legs and like to walk and run, unlike most falcons, which would certainly leave tracks. Would be awesome to see.
