    I'm not merely opining that fewer women are employed in lucrative careers, I'm just reading the charts. Are you telling me that nurses, secretaries, and paralegals make more than doctors, managers, and lawyers?

    You're still attributing to me and the parent poster a claim we're not making.  We are not saying that nurses should make more than doctors.  We are saying that 1) nurses maybe should make more than they do, and 2) more women should be doctors.  I also threw in that the reasons that 1) and 2) aren't happening is because of existing economic and social conditions, some discriminatory, some not.

    This isn't Republicans vs. Democrats, it's Republicans vs. Democracy.

      I'm not saying you did, I'm just pointing out that Nurse pay should not be equated with Doctor pay - its dishonest.  Now talking about male nurse salaries v. female nurse salaries (and the same with doctors), that's  something to work with.
