    Words fail:
Words don't fail me:  That's some of the dumbest sh*t I ever read.

But to the fans of 11-dimensional chess and the greatest chess master of all time, Bobby Fisher, pardon me Barack Obama, it's the sugar in their coffee.

    Let the swooning begin.

Here's thought: the next time this happens, don't dismiss the comments of the people who got it right this time.

Obama goes for another stunt?  Obama makes a false proposal to prove the GOP is what the voters already believe they are?

The point here is, assuming this is 11-dimensional chess, it's crappy leadership.  Leadership isn't all about making the other guy look bad.  Especially when they already look bad.

No one likes to get played be it by the GOP or by Obama.

My apologies if I'm completely misreading you.

There are those who keep insisting that this strategery is a political problem for him, that the Republicans are going to attack him over making the offer.

These people were making the same prediction back in 2011, and were wrong about that.

Who says everything that the President does needs to be an exercise in rallying people to the liberal cause?  He's got a day job - actually running the government and getting work done, and that requires yanking around the Republicans sometimes.

It would be nice if politics and governing was all about being positive and building yourself up, but it's not.  You also have to knock down your opposition.
