    I can't speak towards Deal's personal feelings.  But like George Wallace, whatever his private views, he knows he needs the votes of southern racists on election day - and he's not alone.  The Republican party, especially in the South, would rather win on the votes of white supremacists than do the right thing and lose.

      was a U.S. Representative in the late '90s, he introduced the Citizenship Reform Act, which would eliminate birthright citizenship for illegal aliens in the U.S.  'Nuff said.
