  •  I guess I am in grief... (9+ / 0-)

It's been hard to write. I lived in Boston from 1975–85. I fell in love with the place in 1973, when I was still in high school in NJ, and would go up on school vacations to visit friends there. Soon after I graduated high school I moved there and a year later began to take classes at Mass Art. I last visited in November 2011.

I cannot let myself think about that 8-year-old, but maybe here I can. The tears well up. This should not happen to children, not to anyone, not even to a 98-year-old. Someone set off a bomb, meant to harm and maim and kill, in a place that was once home, which still has a huge place in my heart, a place I have considered moving back to. This has not completely sunken in.

Like millions of others, I shed tears, I send love.

curious portal - to a world of paintings, lyric-poems, art writing, and graphic and web design
