I read that story not too long ago -- the revolving door corruption issue (also from the Promontory Financial exposee and from Lanny Breuer and so many other examples).

I'm taking down a bunch of notes on it, and while a few people may not think transparency is important -- i think it's a major loss for most of us progressives who think the government should be moving to a more modern accountable system, not paper-filings of disclosures for only certain officials!

And people bite at me and say I'm over-reacting -- well what about me? Where am I supposed to go? if Republicans and Democrats are joined together in preventing transparency and accountability, where do i go politically? I don't care as much about environmental or social issues, i care about economic and public integrity issues.

So where do I go with two parties that are favoring Austerity and are engaging in revolving door corruption and conflicts of interest up the wazoo and no transparency?

Obviously the Republicans take the shit-end of every issue, so voting Democrat and supporting them as hte "least worst" is a no-brainer.

But I have a right to be passionate about my issues and I don't like these guys that bully into prioritizing shit that I frankly don't care that much about (gays, gun control, etc.). Sure I'm a kindrid spirit on what policy should be on those issues, but my energy and passion is in economic wellbeing of AMericans and public accountability.

    Deficits don't matter, jobs do.
