Money is a figment of the imagination. Money is like the ounces that tell us the weight of the pizza, or the inches that tell us the size.
In the Constitution, the Congress is tasked with managing the currency in the same Article I, Section 8 as it is tasked with responsibility for weights and measures. Using the currency to manipulate us is an abuse. Congress gets away with it via the slight of hand of having set up the Federal Reserve Banks to make it look like they are not in charge. It's a scam.
For comparison, consider what's recently happened in the euro zone. There the countries of Europe have voluntarily given up their own currencies for a common currency -- something that happened to the several United States when those who severed themselves under the title of the Confederacy and the currency they issued was declared defunct as part of the surrender at the end of the Civil War.
Why did the countries of Europe surrender their sovereign right to coin and print currency? They were talked into it by the banksters, particularly at the IMF, who had been making life difficult for them as the money changers always have.
    It's an old story.
Money is really useful because it lets us transport value easily. But money is a tool that can also be misused by people who want to steal what other people produce by claiming a share in exchange for letting money be used.
Dollars aren't anything but certified IOUs. Withholding certificates, it turns out, is an easy way to control what people get to do. We need only look at marriage certificates to see another example. People can get married without one, but if they don't have that certificate, a whole host of ancillary rights can be denied.
