Great piece of writing.  You should send it to the Globe.  Or one of the regional suburban papers.  Seriously.

As a child living in Cambridge, I never got to see the Marathon, but understand the spirit and what it means to the Boston area.

When it is said that banks are too big to fail, that is one thing.  The Marathon and winning Red Sox or Celtics teams are too big to fail for Boston - in a good way.

Maybe next year, those who have been injured can be pushed in wheel chairs in a special team, or scattered throughout the race, with designated clothing.

Thinking of the physical & mental hurdles those most affected by this are dealing with.  The overwhelming spirit of the hospital workers, as shown in extra time put in.  The extra time & effort of forensic labs and police in trying to solve this.

I'm sure the FBI, etc will have lots of people cooperating in sending pictures/films.  Releasing the news that the bombs were in black bags, should help.

We are planning to be in Lexington in a couple of weeks for a meeting.  This year it takes on extra meaning.
We like section #25 at Fenway!

is great! I am always torn between the view on that side, where you see the retired numbers with the Pru and Hancock tower behind them, and the first-base line view where you are looking directly at the Wall. In the end I probably give a slight edge to Section 15 near the Sox dugout, but I would never have any complaints about a game in Section 25!

Republicans...think the American standard of living is a fine thing--so long as it doesn't spread to all the people. And they admire the Government of the United States so much that they would like to buy it. Harry S. Truman
