    police on Boylston Street.  They went back and forth on JFK library.

    But there's usually misinformation in the immediate aftermath of these types of events.

    Keep the TVA public.

      It wouldn't be unusual for the police to perform controlled detonations on "suspicious packages" in a situation like this. Which is how you end up with reports of "additional devices" that were actually backpacks or grocery bags that were left in the chaos of fleeing the scene.

    •  The bomb squad (3+ / 0-)

      announced there was a suspicious something and that there might be a bang while they dealt with that.

      This, of course, has become the staple of conspiracy theories because some idiot on the West Coast thought his PST Twitter time display was the real EST Boston time.

      "The bomb squad was doing "controlled detonations" before the event!"  Uh, no.
