    list because it provides a critical important and timely reminder of how NOT to proceed with a terror investigation.

    Digby reminds us of what happened after 9/11:

    My greatest fear came from the reaction (overreaction, actually) in which it wasn't just average Americans who lost their bearings, but our leadership as well. The president, who clearly was out of his depth despite the media's determination to present him as a Churchillian figure in the later months, the nefarious power grab of his Vice President, the elite columnists immediately calling for mass incarceration and torture, all of it.
