    continue to spiral downwards unless and until retail workers unionize.  

    It can be done.  As horrible as the situation is, it's not worse than the textile workers had it in the early 20th century.  As bad as the economy is now, retail stores can't outsource their cashiers.  This is do-able.  What it requires is solidarity, organizing, and lots and lots of support.  That means huge strike funds.

    We could do this.  We have to do this if we don't want our kids to have to do it.  Or live like serfs.
