    In the last quarter of 2009 about 2,700 carloads of crude oil were moved by rail. This had grown to 81,100 in the last quarter of 2012.

      nation.  America needs to demonstrate leadership in climate change mitigation.  

      Secondly, don't believe that stopping the Keystone XL  won't slow down expansion of the tar sands.  The reasons they want it so bad is 1) to move the stuff for lower cost and 2) to increase output at a faster pace.
