    a family than about love, but...the getting married part is what creates the family. You can check that one off your list as soon as the rings are on and move on to catching up on your tivo backlog.

      Does a family require children? Do those children have to be natural-born, or does adoption count? If one parent departs due to death or divorce, does that "family" cease to exist and transmutes into some other legal entity?

      See, folks on the Right would like to define "family" to match their own little narrow definition -- anyone who doesn't meet that definition is of course an Other and not entitled to any of the rights and responsibilities.
