  •  I got an email yesterday (7+ / 0-)

from DemandProgress, the organization that was founded by Aaron Swartz, that Pres. Obama threatened to veto CISPA.

I don't, for one minute, believe that this will be an end to the whole SOPA thing, but I'm glad he threatened the veto.

Does anyone know if the Senate has their own version of CISPA/SOPA/PIPA or somethingPA?

I also remember that Obama threatened to veto the NDAA but it turned out that he did so because he wanted even worse provisions in it.

on this stalled but will likely be reintroduced with this new CISPA framework. It's hard to believe Obama would veto this since it is so favorable to corporations -- especially immunity for coughing up personal data. We'll see.

And I guarantee there will be cries of "Remember the Boston Marathon" when they try to ramrod this thru.
