    I just loved how Rivera handled himself that day. He just read the crowd so well. People so wanted the Sox to get their rings in a ceremony where the Yankees had to watch. The stick-it-to-them nature of the event was so heartfelt and, seriously funny. We can be such wicked bastids sometimes.

    This is Rivera's last year. He deserves a standing-O at Fenway on his last game.  I still hope the Yankees lose the game, but, dammit, I like that guy. Hell of a playah.

    Oh yeah, it didn't escape anyone's notice that the Yankees played the "Darth Vader" theme this year for the Red Sox as they were being introduced during opening day in the Bronx.  The Yankees got the Star Wars Rebels theme as they were introduced. Ahm, seriously, the Yankees are upstart Rebels? (Okay, I think that tune belongs to less funded teams in the League, but never the Yankees.)
