    my insurance plan, but I didn't use the benefits. I had the same thoughts -- this isn't medically necessary and I'm not sure why it's covered. But by law in MA, it must be provided.

    I can see some honest disagreement on whether it should be covered. It's just calling it a "lifestyle choice" that got me. It's not like I'm indulging in fatty foods, alcohol and drugs. This was no choice...

    And if he's not going to cover lifestyle choices, rather than refusing to cover smoke cessation, he should refuse to cover heart surgery or lung cancer. He's refusing the stuff that makes people healthier. The guy's a fricking idiot.
