    in the gun control legislation, I dont know about other legislation but clearly he cared about what happened at Newtown and cared about trying to enact some type of legislation to prevent more slaughters.

      I think it's because he has a child not too much older than those that were slain. I believe he cares about Newtown.

      I don't mean to imply that he is a monster or that he doesn't have a heart. I just think he doesn't usually bring his heart to work with him. In this case, because he's a father of a young child, the Newtown thing hit him hard, and he went to bat for it. But that doesn't mean that he's going to represent the will of the people on anything else, or that he took his position on gun control because he wanted to represent the people's will. It's that that I don't think he cares about.
