    from one resident who saw her dog killed as their house collapsed around them. Yes, this affects all of our animal friends - including the area's wildlife - as much as it affects us.

      that is open is farmland - with crops, more than horses, cattle, sheep, etc.  

      this is just so sad... on so may fronts - from the elderly who now have lost their entire lives with the loss of their homes, to those in the nursing home to the young pregnant woman who escaped with the clothes on her back and her unborn child - everything else was gone.

      it is just too much right now - from boston to texas plus the insanity of congress and the ricin.

      i'm signing off for the night.  i really need to get away from all this for a few hours...
