    And potentially explosive depending on other chemical present in the environment it is released to.

    You'd definitely not want it to mix with chlorine or NCl3 can form and that makes good rocket fuel.

    Also consider the effects of it's release under pressure during an accident, e.g., a burning plume followed by mechanical failure that suddenly releases a large volume - you would get a virtual fire-storm such as, I think, the film shows.

    And a 54 ton tank liquid anhydrous ammonia? Scary quantity.
