argument.  Frankly, despite his many flaws Warner does vote for more Democratic positions than any Virginia Republican one would find running against him.   The solution is to primary him and continue to do so the next cycle if he continues to disappoint his constituents.

If you are arguing for a 3rd Party vote - forget it, this is a 2 party system.  Voting for a 3rd Party choice is voting for the Republican in most elections.  Everyone should have learned that lesson with Nader and the 8 years of Bush we got from his 3rd Party run in 2000.

I'll add, I should not have bought into the "voting for the lessor evil" phrase, one should vote for the candidate that best represents thier views.  In Warner's case there are issues he supports that I do.

Sorry.  No elected "Democrat" who supports austerity during a systemic recession, and no "Democrat" who supports any kind of cut to Social Security, is good for "Democratic positions".  Just the opposite.

By voting on the wrong side of economic issues which are the backbone of the Democratic Party platform, Democrats do more harm to the party than they can mitigate with support on any other issue.  Nothing — absolutely nothing — is more fundamental to Democratic Party values.  By undermining those values at every step, Warner and "Democrats" like him are hell-bent on destroying the Party.

Voters who refuse to support such candidates are the ones who actually do better for the Party in the long run.

You ascribe actions and motives to me that are untrue.  And you throw ad homs around, too.  Classy.

As for the Republicans, when they were in charge of Congress we got tax cuts for the wealthy and attacks on Social Security.  That's different from what we have now...in what way???
