He probably is the best Dems could get electted and hopefully re-elected in Alaska.

It reminds me a bit of the yo-yo I had with Obama in 2009, 2010, and part of 2011.  I'd join and quit OFA over and over.  One issue, good, next issue, bad, etc.

I've come to accpet Obama as he is, knowing that he will do things I really don't like as well as things I really like.  With Obama, it matters less, since it was necessary, in my view, to re-elect him over Romney and that's done.  The rest becomes yay! and Boo! here.  What matters more ot me is my acts going forward.

I'll probbaly make small donations to progressives.  Since I have othe rpriorities (kids, family), there is only so much avaialble next year.  There are no races in my state.   I'm in a Dem vote sink, and have a congressman tied for most liberal in the House.

some organization, that would certify, or rate, vote-worthy and support-worthy candidates.  Of course such a group would have their work cut out for them, as there would be a lot of disagreement with the ratings.

An illusion can never be destroyed directly... SK.

    •   a better President could be elected (0+ / 0-)

were our presidential elections not of necessity billion-dollar elections. It's the people of Alaska that are determining the ideological necessity that makes Begich "the best we can do." It's Big Money that makes Obama "the best we can do," not the majority opinion of the United States electorate, that trends significantly to the left of the President on almost every economic issue.

if necessary for years; if necessary, alone
