According to the CBO scoring of the SS 75 yr shortfall....Removing the SS cap equals about .6% of GDP.

Returning to New Deal levels of infrastructure spending means 5% to 6% of GDP spending levels. This would create 23 million jobs.

20 million jobs at 36k each is 89.2 billion, about .6% of GDP. This would have the same revenue effect as Begichs bill to remove the cap, as scored by the CBO. And avoids the pitfalls of cap removal.

And the GOP is not going to vote yes on a 550k FICA tax increase on a network exec who makes 20 million, and his employer will have to pay an additional 550k.

The GOP is wrong when they say the SSTF will be exhausted in 2033. Advocating for cap removal suggests the GOP is right.

.................expect us......................... FDR 9-23-33, "If we cannot do this one way, we will do it another way. But do it we will.
