    imagine, as an AA, whether I'd feel obligated to accept a black man or woman back into the fold if, say, they'd been someone who developed a "scientific study", say, that "proved" black people were genetically inferior, flawed and a had "ape-like DNA" or something similarly injurious.

    I'm not thinking I owe dude (or dudette) jack shit. Even if they do finally realize their error. I don't see he community embracing such a person. Or feeling bad about not doing it.

    I know this isn't an exact parallel. But not being gay I;m trying to create parallel I can identify with and I feel like I wouldn't have to accept such a person. Sure, he/she is black. So what?
