      the false positives. Which they were getting anyway. Publishing the pictures cut down on the wildly false accusations. The issue here is not the FBI publishing actual pictures of actual suspects. The issue is irresponsible so-called news outlets, including the New York Post, Fox, and CNN, trying to make themselves seem more important than they are.

      The Internet rumor mill is nearly uncontrollable, but some sites shut down threads concerning completely bogus leads when informed that the FBI denied their legitimacy.
