    I admit to being guilty to making SMALL pitch adjustments in my practiced landings, but if you try to use pitch for primary airspeed control, of course, you'll probably hop the plane, and if you do it TOO much, you'll hop it - then stall it.  Instant crash.

    A lot of the trick of landing is being in the right configuration and glidepath well before you reach the runway, because in a jet especially, power adjustments are sloooooow.
