    Clearly in our civil and criminal codes we have to recognize the difference between one who loses control of a vehicle and kills other people, even if they were more reckless than a reasonable person would have been in the same circumstances, and one who deliberately causes the death of another (assuming the action isn't being taken to protect innocent others, etc.).

    I can understand someone who is deluded or unbalanced being in a different category. If the person or people who did this have even a near average relationship with reality this looks like a crime to me, and no word fits as well for me as "terrorism."

    I know you're not trying to pretend--as the Fox talking head is--that there are times the label fits and times when it doesn't.  

    I'm sure you understand the nuances of the law better than I do. Is there any instance, where mental illness wasn't a factor, where the acts in Boston wouldn't qualify legally as terrorism?
