    I have an old crab apple in front of my house that is reverting to it's root base, so I get crab apples and some other apple. We aren't fond of them they are mushy and only good for sauce and they make a mess.

    I don't dare cut the tree because we get winds that border on hurricane force here and that tree helps save out house. It's not tall and it's bushy so it's in no danger of falling. We had one wind that ripped 14' lengths of metal off our carport and tied them around a tree in the back. I need my tree.

    I can save the apples for the deer, tho.
