    Don't paint with such a broad brush just because the subject of a single report (the premise of which you admit is correct) involves the future prospects of gun companies.

    There is a wealth of information on that site that is very accessible to those who are investment beginners. I learned probably 75% of what I know about investing from that one site.

      recommendation on something like a for-profit prison company, there is always a lot of discussion on the morality of such an investment.  I know that the analysts at TMF stress that they make their recommendations based strictly on soundness of financials, etc and leave it to the individual members of the community to make the final determination.

      Now one thing the actual article didn't touch on much was the long term bear case against firearms manufacturers.  Sure, they mentioned that the stocks are up big in the short term and that saturation of the market may occur, but look at the long term demographics.  Gun ownership is declining.  The number of indivdual crazies building their personal arsenals can't keep up with the number of people who decide to not (or no longer) own guns.
