  •  The RWers need to ask the "asylum" question (13+ / 0-)

    of their beloved Bush administration.

The father was a pro-Russian "Kadyrovite" during the Chechnyan wars. He worked in the Putin "enforcement agencies" and his sister said they were "lucky to get out alive" because the radical Muslims were after him. Anyway, the Kadyrovite were renown for torture and violence and the father was most likely chased out by separatist-seeking Muslims.

If you note, he fled Chechnya in October 2001... just after the 911 bombing and when the Wassabi "uprising" was on the uptick. He gained asylum to the US shortly thereafter and was here in the US by April 2002. In just a matter of a few months... he went from the atrocities of Chechnya to settling in the US and the Bush administration swept him right in.

My questions are different than yours. I wonder how it is that an asylum-seeking auto mechanic can afford to live in one of the more expensive parts of the US... in Cambridge, MA... and how his college kids can drive a Mercedes.

A society grows great when old men plant trees in whose shade they know they shall never sit.
