    ...on? Obvious answer might be the larger economic opportunity ones that we have the most to gain from. But it seems we have most of our global problems with smaller or mid-sized except the obvious long standing heavy weights.  I've travelled extensively for business and military reasons and never ever had a situation that did not get resolved with time and respect...language was never an issue.  Language is important and can be very important occasionally...but rarely a fault to not accomplishing a mission. just saying

    Our nations quality of life is based on the rightousness of its people.

      The more languages you know, the easier it is to learn another. The reason so many Americans are so awful at foreign languages is that they only know one, if that many.  

      Teach kids whatever foreign language they want to learn, but teach them something. Later in life, they'll find it much easier to learn whatever language they need.

        Mostly because we wait until kids are way past the age when they can easily learn languages (like high school) but also because we don't seem to want to use language teaching methods other countries use to teach foreign languages.
