There has been a lot of discussion of what could have been done, who is responsible, and so forth.  There will be plenty of time for that, but right now that's not really important.

What's important is this - 14 people, maybe more, have been lost.  Hundreds have been injured.  Many people have lost their homes & livelihoods.  These are fellow Americans, our brothers and sisters.  Sometimes we may disagree politically, but we are all still part of one big American family.  And having spent time in many of small towns like this, I can guarantee a lot of these people would give you food out of their pantry or the shirts off their backs.

What you have written is important because right now, the people of West need compassion just as much as they need help.  They don't need people to put things under a microscope.  They need time to heal and to rebuild.

These fallen heroes are volunteers and they went straight into a nightmare to battle the fire and help their town.  They are America.
