  •  Our system is broken (8+ / 0-)

Keeping guns out of the hands of terrorists, violent felons and the mentally disturbed ought to be a question of apolitical values, something everyone can agree upon and work to achieve substantive action. But somehow our modern political system has become so broken and irretrievably worthless that a lobby group intent on protecting the "rights" of these three groups of entirely unsympathetic characters to acquire deadly and powerful guns has managed to trump common sense and the will of 93 percent of the American public. Nothing this president could have done is likely to haver changed a sick and twisted dynamic that is the result of unchecked gerrymandering and outside political influences.   -  progressive

2014 IS COMING. Build up the Senate. Win back the House : 17 seats. Plus!
