    happened the last time the national party got involved in Hawaii. I just don't believe it's anything other than a paper endorsement. And to top it off the Star Advertiser reported that the late Senator Inouye's allies are already firmly behind Hanabusa, whatever she chooses.

      There are three distinct national committees, and each does its own thing.  They are not like-minded, and indeed they can be in direct conflict at times.

      The DCCC screwed up in that House special.

      The DSCC hasn't screwed up anything in Hawaii, and on the contrary Murray was savvy and bold to back Hirono early on.
