    And who now reads credit reports daily in my new line of work, I totally agree.  Don't pay the ambulance bill. They may eventually report in on your credit report at which point you can dispute the charges.  They are blatantly overcharging hoping some bean counter in accounts payable gets the bill and pays without question. On the freak chance your employer does not cover this, the ambulance company will absolutely settle for we'll below the outrageous amount they billed you for.

    As a former HR guy (I promise no other relavent former jobs.....)I absolute agree with everyone who has advised you to let Workmans Comp insurance of your employer handle the bill.  There is no way you should ever have to pay a dime for an injury that occurred at work.
